I am feeling so sick. What's the problem? I don't know exactly. You aren't feeling well either are you? I feel horribly already for some time. And why are you so sick? I think I have eaten something wrong. They all throw their trash in our lake. I heard they poison our lake with microplastics. You also heard that. Apparently it's in shampoo and cosmetics. I don't know exactly. I heard it also come from tire wear particles from the cars. From tire wear particles from the cars. That's why we feel so bad. Everything is hurting. I feel so bad. We will all die. We will all die. We feel so sick. I can't find any food to eat. There's garbage everywhere. These microplastics and other toxic chemicals that are improperly disposed by humans are killing us we need clean water and people need it too and they need us we are all interconnected many of us are dying now when will they stop polluting the water, our home, when we are all gone? We are suffering and no one is helping us. They are all shitting on us. Are they not aware if they keep polluting the water, the lives on the water will all die and the human health will be affected too? We will all die! Calm down. There must be some kind people somewhere. Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata Tata What's that? They are a group of young people in the Philippines advocating for environmental awareness and empowerment of children and youth. Wow! Most of them are the children of the fishermen and one of their project is the river and lake rehabilitation. Really? You have seen that tiny round technology called Mabuhay balls which they are dropping in the river and lakes every after cleanup drive? Wow, that's amazing. I did not know that there's something like that. Yes, there are magic balls. No, no, no. Wait, mabuhay ball is not a magic ball. People still need to cooperate. They must conduct a cleanup drive first before dropping the mabuhay balls in the lake. Those balls will be worthless if the people still continue throwing trash to the water. Oh I see. Mabuhay balls is a great technology but it will only be effective if people will stop throwing their waste in the water. You got it! That's why CS is here. They have different activities to promote environmental awareness aside from river and lake rehabilitation. Amazing! I can see hope with these young people. And I hope they could educate and inspire more children and youth who will continue their advocacy I hope too Bangus the more people they inspire the more lives will be saved people will learn to be responsible consumers and willing to dispose their garbage properly I am from Austria. We can help in saving our environment too. For example, by reducing microplastics. That's nice. But we also need global laws which forbid pollution. Altogether, we will save our lakes and rivers and oceans. you Kjell Kronström Die Flucht ist eine große Herausforderung für die Menschen, die hier leben. Binibreed nila yan. When the fish come out, they eat the seeds, like the shrimps. They eat the shrimps. There used to be a lot of shrimps here, but when the arowana came out, almost none of them were left. That's what happens. Ayan talaga nakakatot. you you you Thank you. The European Commission presents The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The of waste is a problem. According to research on Austrian waste management, 66.47 million tons of garbage is produced in Austria every year. Wealthier nations, including Austria, have long shipped their plastic waste to the developing world to be processed, with current estimations assuming that Austria exports up to 160,000 tons of waste abroad per year. The pushback comes as containers of trash continue to accumulate on the shores of countries like Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, which are increasingly worried that the environmental costs are greater than the income that results from importing the waste. Recording 14.7 million tons of trash a year. The Philippines are the fourth largest generator of solid waste among country members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Solid waste management remains a major challenge in the Philippines, especially in urban areas like Metro Manila. Improper waste disposal, inefficient waste collection and lack of disposal facilities are among the dominant concerns in the country's solid waste management. We may not be able to solve the big waste problems in the world, but our small gestures could mean a lot. Even small things that we do can help us solve the waste problem affecting our environment. Garbage segregation is important. We have to clean our surroundings by taking these five actions. The five R's. Reuse. Reduce. Recycle Refuse And restore and restore. Thank you. Pag sinab word climate change? The change of the climate. What is climate change? Climate change is a major global problem. That we humans are emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Human contribution to it is significant. It's totally man-made. Due to us humans emitting greenhouse gases like CO2, methane and others. We try really really much to to do our best about it but if we are the only ones then that won't work but I hope a lot of people do the same thing. For me, climate change is the abnormal change of the world. For me, climate change is the proven change in the conditions of different climate systems that can last for years, decades or even longer. trapped within the Earth's atmosphere and this causes the surface to get hotter. For me, climate change is the change of the weather or climate of a country because of the increasing greenhouse gases of the world. Climate change is a big problem in the world that is causing different types of disasters such as flooding and extreme drought. The most important is probably that I'm convinced that the human contribution to it is significant. It's totally man-made. All over the world, people act in a very, very risky way and affect the climate immensely. Climate change is a change of times for me in different places. I understand climate change as the continuous rise in temperature that affects our world. There's the increase in the number of clouds that we expect every month. The increase in the sea level that affects the environment. I think Austria is definitely affected by climate change. Austria is definitely affected by the climate change because basically the whole world is. Many people have to leave their homes because as the global temperature rises, global average temperature rises, there are also a lot more extreme weather events, for example droughts, floods. Also many species become endangered because their habitats are destructed or endangered. Extreme weather events, flooding areas where there's no proper protection from such events. And also because the surface gets hotter, the glaciers are melting and the sea levels are rising and also the water temperature rises which leads to destruction of homes and also in extinction of many species change na napapansin ko sa lawa ng Laguna, masyadong bumababa ang temperatura ng tubig. Car exhausts, This includes the infections that every Filipino has experienced. meat consumption, all these things affect climate change immensely. Which leads to a lot of things. For example, the polar ice caps melt and sea level rises flooding coastal regions. In our island, in Talim Island, there are fields where you can find corn and sweet potatoes. and the other people are no longer growing because of the heat. So the cost is that the other people in the island can no longer sell. For us in Cardona, Rizal, climate change is already affecting us because of the lack of protection of the land. In every region of the world, people are affected by climate change in different ways. Like, for example, in Northern Africa, the advance of the Sahara Desert, by the Sahara Desert expanding, or people on islands who are just losing land due to rising sea temperatures. Even in Manila, kapag kanting ulan, tumataas yung tubig agad sa kalsada. We basically don't eat any meat anymore. We are basically vegetarians. We produce our own vegetables in the garden. We go shopping. We buy organic products. We produce our own vegetables in the garden. We go shopping. We buy organic products. We buy locally grown foods. I would say I do at least a little bit against climate change because I'm a vegetarian and so I don't eat meat which is a big factor of climate change. is a big factor of climate change? So as much as possible, choose organic. Yeah, so I try to avoid plastic. Yeah, I try to avoid wastes when shopping. But I think I could do a bit more like buy fairly made clothes and don't go with fast fashion and things like that. We haven't flown for a long time. We rarely fly. We go on vacation together with other families in one car. I also drive a lot by bike. Because if you go by car, the emissions increase a lot and that's not good for the climate change. So, ang panawagan ko lamang po ay sana makapamili tayo ng mga leader na especially if we are all in this together. So my only call is that we should be able to choose leaders who have knowledge and love for the environment. We try really, really much to do our best about it. But if we are the only ones, then that won't work. But I hope a lot of people do the same thing. As a youth, we need to take care of our surroundings so that we can avoid these things that will affect us. We need to plant plants and trees. We need to be good at throwing garbage in the right place and we need to plant plants and trees in We should be good at throwing garbage in the right places and don't forget to plant trees and plants in our surroundings. And that should be changed, that must be changed in the next few years otherwise this planet will not exist for a long time anymore and very important that we find solutions to it. We need to act. I try to do things against it because I think it's a major problem and everybody should try to do their part to help. yung nine years para maiwasan yung irreversible effect ng climate change. So ibig sabihin, nine years na lang yung deadline natin para mas napubaba pa yung pag-increase or yung emission natin, yung carbon dioxide emission natin. Thank you.
