Hi everybody, I am Matias Valenzuela, director and screenwriter of a short film Un buen hombre, A good man. This short film had two clear main challenges. First, we were shooting in two countries. First in Spain and then six months later in Chile. Second challenge was shooting with a child. That was very difficult, in our case more because the subject of the film. Hopefully we had the support of the cast and their family so we could work as best as possible for the short film and in a safe environment for the kids. It was the most intense days I ever had. Always the lack of time and resources demands incredible efforts and that makes the work with the rest of the team very intense. But in the end it feels like we have won an epic battle. We suffered in the moment but now I'm sure it's an amazing remember for all of them. Professionally the biggest award was directed in Alberto Amarilla. He's very generous. Practically he was teaching me in different parts of the film. In addition to seeing his bravery and professionalism was very inspiring for me. professionalism was very inspiring for me. At least it's critical for me to gain experience and have hours filming. A movie is such a big challenge that I think it's critical to have at least two previous short films on your back. I think you must have ever faced these real problems in the middle of the production. For next March I hope to have read the script of a feature film called Alma, which I hope will begin its financing process next year. I was very lucky because I am a screenwriter so I've been working on a development for a TV series, a book and also on a script so I was in a quite productive time. Well thank you everybody thank you very much for selecting our film and I hope you have a great festival!
