Queens of Self-determination

In august 2016 a group of young migrant women met within the framework of the maiz-project called „Life has Weight!“ to incorporate their own life experiences and perspectives with anti-racist and anti-sexist discourse and create their own tools of representation and narratives. This process took place in different forms: via discussions, creative writing, body language and imagery workshops. Posters were designed afterwards, and interventions in public spaces were executed. The young women called themselves “Queens of self-determination”.
