For several decades, the tech industry tried to position itself as a libertarian force in opposition to state power and authority. While that was always more narrative than reality, there has been a notable shift in the past few years with tech companies seeking much closer ties to government and military, and prominent tech figures embracing right-wing politicians to forward their interests. Paris Marx will explore those deepening ties, how they relate to the growing divide between the United States and China, and where Europe fits into the picture.
