Der mosambikanische Sänger STEWART SUKUMA ist in seiner Heimat seit langem ein Superstar und auch auf internationalen Bühnen jenseits von Afrika präsent. Er arbeitete u.a. auch mit Hugh Masekela, Miriam Makeba, Abdullah Ibrahim und Gilberto Gil. Derzeit tourt er mit seiner hochkarätigen 9-köpfigen Band wieder in Europa und begeistert das Publikum mit polyrhythmisch ausgeklügeltem Afro-Pop vom Feinsten - gewürzt mit Einflüssen aus traditioneller Musik Mosambiks, Jazz und Rock - , der weltmeisterlich groovt und unwiderstehlich zum Tanzen verleitet. Mit dabei ist auch diesmal wieder der österreichische Posaunist und Fotograf Werner Puntigam, der immer wieder (vor allem im Südöstlichen Afrika) auch eigene interkulturelle Projekte realisiert und mit Stewart Sukuma bereits seit 2000 regelmäßig zusammenarbeitet.
