Hope Masike ("Princess of Mbira") aus Zimbabwe ist mit ihrem frischen Zugang unbestritten einer der Stars der Mbiramusik. Ihre Songs greifen auf den reichen Fundus der traditionellen Mbiramusik zurück, die sie thematisch aktualisiert mit einer eindringlichen Stimme performt. Neben ihren eigenen Formationen in Zimbabwe ist sie auch international sehr erfolgreich, beispielsweise mit der norwegischen Band "Monoswezi" oder gemeinsam mit der brandneuen österreichisch-zimbabwischen Formation "Kunzwana #1", in der auch Werner Puntigam maßgeblich involviert ist.
