Teaser Live-TV-Broadcast "Realistic Dreams"

As part of the course “Streaming Studio (Video live streaming as an Artistic Medium)”, students of the University of Art and Design Linz will create a live television event on January 27, 2025, start 3 pm. By students of time-based media, graphic design/photography and cultural studies. The students will each create a mini-episode and broadcast live from the DORFTV Studio at the University of Art and Design Linz. Each mini-episode is a performative space, installative setting, artistic environment, discussion space and/or film set.

RealisticDreams#1

It’s an unpredictable kaleidoscope of creativity where art, ideas, and experimentation come alive in real-time, inviting viewers to embrace the beauty of imperfection.

The episodes were created within the theme of “Realistic Dreams”, exploring the fine line between the reality and the imaginary. Each of the five episodes invites the viewer on a journey where anything can happen: distant connections, flying heads, special creatures, music, and unforgettable performances. They remind us that reality is as malleable as our dreams, challenging perception and inviting us to imagine a world where the impossible becomes possible.

Episode#1: Gustiele Fistarol, Flows of Connection

The episode invites people from different countries to walk together in various cities around Europe and South America. Beyond a video call, what connects them are the rivers that flow through each city, as all rivers eventually meet, just like the people they bring together.

Episode#2: Benedikt Simetsberger, Thinking Heads

A chaotic live talk show where contemplative heads explore the bright possibilities of the future, surrounded by unpredictable mayhem. It’s a whirlwind of ideas, hope, and delightful absurdity.

Episode#3: Robert Gerstendorfer, Hanna Klampfl, Making-of a Flirtmachine music video!

This livestream, under the motto “realisticdream,” showcases the making-of a music video. The indie band Flirtmachine has taken over the DorfTV studio and has only 25 minutes to create a visual masterpiece for their upcoming album release with Hanna’s help!

Expect an intense display of analog filters and other creative wizardry, and enjoy the final result both as a livestream and as a polished post-production music video.

Join us on a captivating live stream as we delve into the mysteries surrounding Linz's ancient legends. What lies behind the enigmatic shadows seen gliding across the Danube River? Drawing on centuries-old folklore and modern eyewitness accounts, this program embarks on a real-time exploration to uncover the truth. By intertwining local mythical tales with contemporary evidence, we reveal how these elusive beings coexist with our world. Viewers are invited to become part of this thrilling journey, filled with wonder, discovery, and the secrets of the unseen.
