Workshop #1: Hügelbeet bauen mit Christoph Wiesmayr, Klimabündnis OÖ und Gregor Mahringer,Leben in Freiheit Ein Hügelbeet ist ein schräg abfallendes Hochbeet, das im Vergleich zum klassischen Gartenbeet etwa ein Drittel mehr Anbaufläche bietet. Durch seine Form speichert es sowohl Wasser als auch Wärme, wodurch auch die jährliche nutzbare Anbauzeit verlängert wird. Aufgebaut wird es durch Naturmaterialien vor Ort (z. B. Reisig), die in diesem gut wieder verwendet werden können. Einen weiteren wesentlichen Vorteil bietet auch die schonende Körperhaltung bei der Gartenarbeit durch die erhöhte Fläche am Hügel.
