Schmieds Puls’ Mira Lu Kovacs hat sich mit den Jazz/Funk-Avantgardisten von Kompost 3 zusammengetan. Als 5K HD wird der Begriff Popmusik ausgereizt. Die erste Single zum kommenden Debütalbum, das dystopische What If I, gibt sich zunächst trostlos, karg, trocken, minimalistisch, you had it comin‘, you’re on your own. Als ein fast schon barocker Trompeten-Stimm-Choral Hoffnung gibt, wütet im 3. Satz eine Wand aus Noise und lässt nichts zurück. Fast nichts. Eine letzte, kleine Harmonie bleibt: What if I told you everything. 5K HD ist die neue Supergroup zusammengesetzt aus Schmieds Puls-Frontfrau Mira Lu Kovacs und den 4 Jungs von Kompost 3. Die improvisationslastige Jazz/Funk/Groove-Truppe erweitert sich um eine der ausdrucksstärksten Stimmen in Österreich und damit auch um neue Facetten in ihrem ohnehin nicht für Scheuklappen bekannten Sound. Mit teils akustischen, teils elektronischen Mitteln bewegt man sich fließend mal im Jazz, mal im Dubstep, dann wieder ein Breakbeat, ein Funk Riff, eine Prog Rock-Eskalation, alles mühe- und nahtlos, aber ohne jemals den Pop aus dem Auge zu verlieren. Im September 2016 haben 5K HD (noch als Kompost 3 feat. Mira Lu Kovacs) ihre Debüt-EP MeM veröffentlicht, im Herbst dieses Jahres soll das Album And To In A auf Seayou Records folgen. Am 26.
