Innovation Reporter: Making Innovation Visible & turning Exclusive Knowledge into Future Skills for the Next Generation

Future Unlocked — Where Exclusive Knowledge Meets the Next Generation

The world is full of knowledge that could change lives. Breakthroughs in science, innovation ecosystems, future-shaping ideas. They exist. But they remain invisible to most people, locked behind professional networks, expensive conferences, and expert bubbles. Meanwhile, young people are losing confidence in the future. Not because the future looks bad, but because nobody is showing them what's possible.

I am Uros, an Innovation Reporter based in Linz. My mission is to make exclusive knowledge inclusive by collecting, curating, and communicating it in a way that inspires young professionals and equips them with the future skills they actually need.

As an Innovation Reporter, I go to hackathons, conferences, and startup events. I talk to founders, professors, futurists, and curious minds. Everything I experience and learn, I curate through the lens of future skills like creativity, adaptability, and resilience, and share it through storytelling formats that follow the edutainment trend on social media.

What makes this different is the role of the community. This is not a passive audience that scrolls and consumes. From day one, the community is treated as active co-creators who validate ideas, contribute perspectives, and shape the content itself. At this hackathon, three LinkedIn posts sparked responses from ten experts within hours, co-creating a live map of the most relevant future skills. That is the model. And ultimately, the most engaged community members will not just consume knowledge. They will become Innovation Reporters themselves, multiplying the impact far beyond what one person can reach alone.

The concept is already working. Last year I reposted 70 innovation videos on Instagram and organically grew an audience of over 8,000 followers. At this hackathon, those same three posts generated an invitation to speak at an international academic conference.

The next steps are concrete. Inspiring 30 students at Tabakfabrik Linz during Youth Entrepreneurship Week next month, reporting from Vienna Up in May, and joining the EXPO 2027 in Belgrade to scale internationally. For companies, this community becomes an idea pool for open innovation, idea hackathons, and a direct pipeline to emerging talent.

For young professionals, this community is a place to grow. A space where they discover what the future actually looks like, develop skills that schools rarely teach, connect with like-minded people, and get the confidence to act. Not just to watch from the sidelines, but to participate, contribute, and lead.

This does not scale alone. The vision includes building a team across research, editing, creation, and facilitation, alongside a partner network of companies, innovation ecosystems, and other innovation voices who share this mission.
