Oct. 2013 4529 Ansichten by flow 2spirit BeschreibungEmbed Imaginary Landscapes An der Cornish School in Seattle begann Cage mit einer Serie so genannter Imaginary Landscapes („imaginäre Landschaften“). Insgesamt entstanden fünf Stücke zwischen 1939 und 1952. In Imaginary Landscape No. 1 (1939) für vier Spieler, Uraufgeführt am 24. März 1939, sind neben präpariertem Klavier und chinesischem Becken zwei Plattenspieler mit variabler Umdrehungszahl zu hören.[22] Die Schallplatten waren die damals in Studios üblichen Messplatten zum Überprüfen von Plattenspielern mit Testtönen. Die elektronischen Komponenten waren also vorgefunden und nicht speziell komponiert. Das Stück ist nicht für die Wiedergabe im Konzertsaal, sondern über Radio gedacht.
