The Spontaneous Katrin Summit Session

During his “friends and familiy tour 2022” Ben Waters from the UK met his local boogie-friend Richie Loidl next to the piano in the lobby of Hotel Royal in Bad Ischl / Salzkammergut on Saturday feb 5th. Because all gigs in the area were cancelled by the Covid 19 pandemic and no venue was allowed to be “shaked”, Richie suggested to bring his own pianos up to the top of his backyard-mountain “Katrin” for an open air “Sunshine Sunday Summit-Session” with a ”brunch at the “Berggasthof” on the next morning. The Katrin cable-car-crew helped with the transport and Alex Eder of the Katrin mountaintop-restaurant prepared an improvised “stage on snow”, providing a stunning backdrop-view to the famous Dachstein-glacier and lake Hallstättersee. On Sunday, feb 6th they shaked the amazingly surprised audience at 1.416 m above sea level. Unrehearsed, unprepared and without a profound sound-check. Just spontaneously, just for fun, just to boogie. Let’s have a good time!

Die zweite Session der SKGtunes ist ziemlich spontan ausgefallen, und auf Nachfrage sind wir gerne in einer Minibesetzung angerückt. Ben Waters, Tom Waters und Richie Loidl haben spontan einen kurzen Gig vor dem Berggasthof der Katrin in Bad Ischl gespielt.  Viel Spaß mit diesem knapp 20-minütigen Boogie-Set, live aufgenommen auf der Katrinn am 6. Februar 2022. Kurzer Anmkerung zur Session: Die Session wurde von einer Person aufgezeichnet und der Ton wurde per Zoom Recorder mitgeschnitten und nicht professionell gemischt.
